Wicket Door

A small door built within a larger door, allowing personnel passage without opening the full door assembly. Wicket doors conserve energy and improve security in warehouse, loading dock, and aircraft hangar applications.

Standard wicket sizes range from 3′-0″ x 6′-8″ to 4′-0″ x 8′-0″ within overhead coiling, sectional, or sliding hangar doors. The wicket frame is integrated into the larger door panel with full weatherstripping and hardware. Independent operation requires separate locking, hinges, and closer.

Fire-rated wickets are available for labeled rolling door assemblies, maintaining the overall door rating. Wickets can include vision lites, push/pull hardware, panic devices for egress, and access control integration. Self-closing and automatic latching ensure the wicket doesn’t compromise the primary door’s security or environmental seal. Related: access panel, door closer. Explore wicket door options.
