Electric Strike

An electrified door strike that releases the latch when activated, allowing entry without turning the knob or retracting the latch manually. Electric strikes integrate mechanical locking with electronic access control.

Operation modes include fail-secure (locked when power removed-for security applications) and fail-safe (unlocked when power removed-for egress doors). Voltage options include 12VDC, 24VDC, and 24VAC. Current draw ranges from 200mA continuous to 3A intermittent.

Electric strikes work with standard mortise, cylindrical, and rim locks-the latch remains engaged while the strike pivots. Monitoring options include latch bolt monitor (door secure) and strike position switch. Related: electromagnetic lock, access control. Brands include HES, Folger Adam. Shop electric strikes.
