A floor-mounted or hinge-mounted device with a spring-loaded arm that flips down to prop a door open. Kickdown stops provide temporary hold-open without the permanence of fixed holds.
Activation is by foot-stepping on the lever flips it down to brace against the floor. Release is also by foot or by pushing the door past the stop point. Floor-mounted types have fixed or adjustable heights; hinge-mounted types replace one hinge leaf.
