Door Interlock

A control system preventing the simultaneous opening of two or more doors, maintaining environmental or security integrity. Interlocks are essential for cleanrooms, airlocks, mantraps, and controlled areas.

Operation ensures one door must fully close before another can open. Control methods include electromagnetic locks, electronic strikes, and access control integration. Status indicators show which door is available.

Mantrap interlocks require identification verification between doors for high-security applications. Cleanroom interlocks maintain pressure differentials and contamination control. Fire/egress codes require interlock override for emergency egress. Related: electromagnetic lock, access control. Shop interlock systems.
