Master Key System

A hierarchical key system allowing one master key to operate multiple locks while individual change keys operate only their assigned lock. Master key systems provide controlled access levels throughout facilities.

System hierarchy includes change keys (single lock), sub-master keys (group of locks, such as a department), master keys (all locks in a building), and grand master keys (multiple buildings). More levels reduce individual lock security-specify the minimum levels needed.

Key control programs track key issuance and include policies for lost key response. High-security cylinders with patented keyways prevent unauthorized duplication. Interchangeable core (IC) systems allow instant rekeying. System design requires planning for growth and changes. Related: cylinder lock, high-security cylinder. Contact our locksmith services.
